Two more Friday WAC notes

Don't get too close but credit catpooptv (no, we are not making this up) for discovering that Coach Leon Rice has a walk-on with an interesting past headed to BSU. The Bronco fan posted the news at the Taco Bell Arena basketball message board at the Boise State Scout site.

Plus, homeytennis posted an update on Jaxon Myaer at the same Boise State Scout site and the same Taco Bell Arena basketball MB. In a six degrees of separation situation, Myaer will be playing for a former WAC coach. Here is a direct link to an article on the subject.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
