A Utah State recruiting note

From Gerry Freitas: "The 2012 Nor Cal Spring Showcase was held Friday to Sunday April 27 -29, 2012 at San Francisco City College. Forty teams from throughout the western United States participated in the NCAA sanctioned event"

* 6'3 PG/SG Parker Van Dyke of East HS, UT 2013 (Salt Lake Metro Black)
- Heady combo guard who is a good handler and passer, sees the floor exceptionally well and gets the ball to the open man, is real effective in transition-pulls up nicely, has a deceptive first step, fairly good shooter with 3-point range. Will decide between four schools: Utah, Utah State, Arizona State, Stanford.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
