ELLIOTT, EVANS WILL NOT ATTEND THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA THIS FALL
RENO, Nev. — Incoming freshmen Devonte Elliott and Jerry Evans will not attend the University of Nevada this fall, first-year Wolf Pack men’s basketball head coach David Carter announced Monday.
“We are certainly disappointed that Devonte and Jerry will not begin their college careers at Nevada this fall, but both student-athletes remain committed to the Wolf Pack. We wish Devonte and Jerry the best as they continue to update their academic information with the NCAA Eligibility Center and will welcome them for the second semester.”
Elliott is a 6-9, 210-pound forward out of Paramount (Calif.) High School. He averaged 10 points, nine rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game last season in helping Paramount to a 16-12 overall mark.
A 6-7, 180-pound guard, Evans comes from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, Calif. He averaged 15.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last year. He also shot 54.6 percent from the field last year in helping his team to a 26-7 record.
