A (stale) crumb for Nevada basketball fans

UPDATE: The devil is in the details and we missed bigtime on this one as several readers have pointed out that the following article was dated in mid-May. So, nevermind and we'll get busy cleaning the egg off our faces.

LVN Sports Editor Larry Barker recently talked with new Nevada Coach David Carter. This snippet jumped out at us:

LB: “Overall is recruiting looking good right now?”

Coach Carter: “It’s looking very good. You’ll read about in the paper in the next week or so about more kids committing to Nevada.”

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
