At the Bulldogs Barks & Bytes MB, Louisiana Select announces a 2014 6-foot-8 frontcourt commit to Coach Mike White's squad. Here's one ranking which looks a bit out-dated.

Anna Gauldin looks back at what Denver accomplished this past weekend.

Rob Dauster has some love for Jarred Shaw:

Jarred Shaw stepping up for Utah State: We have to give some love to Utah State big man Jarred Shaw. The Aggies lost both Kyisean Reed and Preston Medlin in the same half of the same game last month, which all but ended their chance at a WAC title this season. In the last three games, he’s averaging 21.7 points, 10.0 boards and 2.0 blocks while shooting 69.0% from the floor. USU is 2-1 in that stretch, with two road wins and a three point loss to league leader Louisiana Tech.
Shawn Harrison writes that others having to step up is a very good thing for USU.

Travel-wise it's perfect as Idaho will be facing Idaho State in the BracketBuster but the records of the respective teams aren't close.

Lamar will be welcoming Texas State in another territorial rivalry.

Nicholls is coming over from Louisiana to face Texas San Antonio.

UT Arlington will be BracketBustering with visiting UC Irvine.

Illinois State will be hitting Logan in what looks now as a good BB matchup.

Denver's BB opponent will be host Northern Iowa in the only televised (ESPN3) WAC-involved pairing. John Templon writes: "Two sneaky around .500 teams that are actually better than their records indicate, which is why they’re playing in a television game. The Pioneers are ranked 51st in KenPom and Northern Iowa is 64th. This game with be sloooooooooow. Denver is 319th in adjusted tempo and UNI isn’t much better at 298."

The Mid Majority folks are going away after next season.
