From an article at the New England Recruiting Report site today on Braeden Anderson -- who just decommitted from DePaul -- comes this: "I think it just came down to the fact that Braeden wanted to be closer to his family in Alberta"
But then some other possible destinations listed are much further away than Chicago is from Alberta.
So does Hawaii have a shot?

Braeden Anderson back on the market
Braeden Anderson has freed himself from DePaul:
"Source said DePaul signee Braeden Anderson has asked for and will be given his release following the transfer of Miami's Donnavan Kirk."Hawaii was mentioned at one point in conjunction with Anderson but who knows the status now. Here is an ESPN evaluation.

Braeden Anderson to...
In the parlance of this week, Braeden Anderson calls it for DePaul.
Hawaii offered.
Our two-pronged theory about going after prospects that seem unlikely to say yes -- 1) you never know -- the kid kept mentioning UH in his interviews and 2) bouncebacks happen every year so if a kid remembers a school that really wanted him...
