Monday's WAC hoops digest

iamloyaltonewmexicostate has posted at the Sports Trough MB (AggieAlert site) about NMSU offering Givon Crump, a wing from Pasadena (CA) City College.

Coincidentally, PTW did a story on Crump in late January.

Givon Crump located

Former Fresno State wing Givon Crump is at Pasadena City College this season. He was at Baylor as a freshman and redshirted last year in the San Joaquin. Crump was at New Hampshire prep school prior to Baylor. Somehow playing for an Arizona club team also is part of the equation. Crump was a highly rated prospect but he's running out of time to fulfill such a prognostication.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
