We wuz wrong

As they say, the coverup usually turns out worse than the crime so in the spirit of coming clean here's a mighty mea culpa about a portion of yesterday's Greg Allen to Idaho post.

We saw Allen play twice this summer but never in the point guard role. While this is accurate, it turns out Allen plays the point for his high school team in Eureka and also previously spent some time in the position for his Bay Area Hoosiers club team.

He will play the point for Idaho.

We should have an Allen article posted here sometime tomorrow as we talked to him last night.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
