LAS CRUCES — At 6-foot-1, Hernst Laroche knows his way around a basketball court.

But he has had to make some adjustments since signing a grant-in-aid letter to play for New Mexico State University in August.

Laroche joins NMSU from Montreal, Quebec, and he figures to play prominently in the Aggies search for a point guard this season...

For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
