Vandals nab a good 'un

As expected, Washington prepster Corey Stern has become an Idaho Vandal. The 6-7 wing/forward is a fine athlete and adds to the solid base Don Verlin is building.

MOSCOW, Idaho – Highly touted recruit Corey Stern has signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Idaho and play basketball for the Vandals in the fall.

Stern, a 6-foot-7 forward from Rainier Beach High School at Seattle, is rated one of the top 20 high school players in the state of Washington and was receiving interest from at least eight Division I programs...

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
