All credit goes to Born An Aggie for a post at the New Mexico State SCOUT site Sports Trough message board that alerted us to a Wendell McKines blog.

Big Wen writes just like BornAnAggie. Are you sure that's real?
Why do so many of today's youth write in this "stream of consciousness" style instead of using grammar and punctuation?
Big Wen may want to complete 18 credits this fall and play in the spring, but...
A) That's a lot of credits for a kid that is struggling with school and who has to practice and work out as well as study, and
B) Does Coach Menzies really want to burn an entire year of eligibility for 3 months of availability? I wouldn't unless I was feeling some heat from upstairs.
There's no way of verifying if it is Wendell McKines who set up the blog and is posting but an imposter would certainly be crossing any boundaries of decency and possibily a statute or two by doing this and including personal information. So we'll take it at face value.
Patrick H who gives a damn how he writes in a blog. Its only a blog. You people take crap to damn serious.
The comment was really tongue in cheek. BornAnAggie is the WAC message boards' unofficial mascot (and his writing style is similar to Wen's) so we throw out the occasional jab every now and then.
I can tell you with a very high degree of certainty that this is in fact Wendell.
Anonymous - Yes I do take it seriously from one perspective. Too many young people can't write. And if you paid attention to my comment you'd notice I worded it that way.
We have two reactions to this:
1) With numerous situations of NCAA student-athletes going to or 'over the line' on their Facebook and the other social web sites, it wouldn't surprise us if NMSU athletics institutes some sort of restrictions to what information Aggie student-athletes can make public.
On the other hand, we certainly give major credit to Wendell McKines opening up some personal matters to the public.
2) We're in PatrickH's camp here. In this situation, student-athletes should approach something like this as a college student. It doesn't necessarily have to be on the straight and narrow per The Elements of Style but...
I blame pour grammer and speling in our youth due to Bill Gates and the use of spel/grammer checkers in Werd.

This would be a post by the infamous Frank. I'm just surprised he hasn't come back and changed it to n/m yet.
