Hernst Laroche nabbed a long rebound off a miss by Jahmar Young and nailed a 13-footer straight on to propel New Mexico State to a 70-68 last-second win over visiting Louisiana Tech.
Jamel Guyton, quiet until the end, nailed a late pair of treys, with the last knotting the score at 68 with 35.5 seconds remaining.
The Aggies came down, held the ball for a while, until Young misfired on his dribble-drive and then Laroche stepped up and provided the heroics.
New Mexico State led 60-43 with nine minutes remaining but Hamidu Rahman fouled out at the 8:34 mark. Tech went on a scoring run that coincided with Aggie missed jumpers and turnovers.
The largest NMSU lead was 17 points.
