What's up with the WAC & field goal percentage D?

What is it with the various WAC teams and their field goal percentage defense?

In conference play, only Utah State has a bright and shiny number, coming in first at 39% -- a number Top 25 teams would like to emulate.

But next is Louisiana Tech at .446%, which is okay but coaches generally want better.

Here's how the remainder plays out:

3. San Jose State .457
4. Nevada .459
5. New Mexico State .464
6. Hawaii .465
7. Fresno State .465
8. Idaho .471
9. Boise State .482

Yes, it's still somewhat early so let's see how matters finally play out but it's clear there are a number of WAC teams needing to lower the percentage of shotmaking currently being allowed -- if greater consistency and more wins are desired.
