George Dohrmann has an article -- "Confessions Of An Agent" in the most recent Sports Illustrated that is setting the college and pro football worlds on fire. -- go here.
There are many questions to be pondered but a basic one is this: why do we expect the individuals in the world Dohrmann writes about to act any differently than how the rest of the world/universe behaves?

Exactly! I don't care what rules you establish, what enforcement mechanism you create or what high moral principles you profess. Human nature is more powerful and the negative traits like greed and the lust for power will, with a certain number of individuals, at times win out.
That doesn't mean we should give up and sink to the lowest common denominator, but it does mean that nobody should be surprised by this story. And really, are we? ESPN is trying to make this into a giant media circus...but that's what they do. I don't think this really surprised any fan of college sports over the age of 21.
I'm more interested in this former agent's story. What is he NOT telling us as opposed to his self serving attack on what were once his pals and colleagues?
Expect the book deal quite soon as he cashes in on his notoriety and laughs all the way to the bank. That too is all too human and easy to foresee. If he doesn't, I'll be more forgiving of him and think there's more to this than personal spite.
