A Hawaii recruiting note

Brad Winton/JUCO Recruiting tweeted:

"St. John's watched Brandon Parga (6'4/SG/2012) of Citrus College (CA) last night. Hawaii and Boston College also interested"
He's out of southern California and plays for one of the very consistently best programs in Citrus College. Parga's numbers to date: 19.6 points per game, 51% from the floor, 86% from the foul line, 47% on 82 trey attempts. Here is his page at the Citrus site. He also has a 3.0+ grade point average.

Backcourter Garrett Jefferson, now at UH, came from Citrus.

Hey Kevin,

Do you know what the situation is with Gerry Blakes. He didn't qualify to get into Hawaii, so he is at Citrus CC redshirting. If he is qualified for NCAA, but not for Hawaii, would he require an AA from Citrus in order to go to Hawaii?

Thanks,
Kendall

I'm no expert nor have I ever played one on television or at web site. Having typed that, if he is at Citrus to pick up acceptable (to Hawaii or elsewhere) credits, which is what it seems like, isn't enrolled full time (don't know the details on that) and already has the stamp of approval from the NCAA, then he should be able to sign with a D-1 school come April or re-sign with UH. That only makes sense. It would also make sense that the classes he needed to pass at Citrus were also determined by UH prior to his enrolling at Citrus.

Anyone else with a different take, please chime in.
