Not unanimous.
Olek Czyz!
There almost always is a a win/loss component to the WAC player of the week if you have not noticed it, and a player usually has to put up huge numbers to win it. Laroche had a pretty good game on Saturday and a great play at the end, but nothing to probably offest the loss to Idaho. The only teams to not lose this week were Nevada and Idaho. Geiger, Story, and Hunt all had good to excellent games, but it probably comes done to Barone or Czyz.
Laroche had the best, and thanks to espn2, most visible play of the week, but I agree that Czyz is probably your awardee this week. 21.5/9.5 on the week.
In fact, losing Laroche to fouls with a couple minutes to go contributed greatly to NMSU's loss to the Vandals. Sr. Point guards should stay out of foul trouble.
