New Mexico State @ Duke tonight on ESPN2

Give credit to the departed Reggie Theus for the willingness to tackle Coach K and the Dookies in their home lair.

Do catch the game tonight at 5 p.m. on ESPN2 for some early WAC exposure.

Duke is young and not the typical powerhouse we have come to expect each and every season. The NMSU big men may just enjoy an advantage as Duke has but two 6-8 frontcourters and one 7-1 center on its roster.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
