More for Friday

bpd posted some specific recruiting news at the USUFans Stew's Spectrum MB on another Aggie recruiting target.

espnaggie also posted confirmation that 7-foot LaSalle transfer Matt Lopez is indeed an Aggie. Here is his LaSalle bio -- he is a redshirt freshman so he'll be burning a year of eligibility. Lopez will be joining junior Jarred Shaw and sophomore Jordan Stone in the center rotation come 2012-13.

Patrick H said...: Fresno State gave away a great opportunity at the end of the game. If you didn't see it, FSU had a 1pt lead. With about 6 seconds left LTU tried to inbound the ball from their baseline...an FSU player tipped it to Oleikebe who made one of the least intelligent BB decisions I've seen in years.

Thinking he'd get fouled he simply bent over a little while holding the ball to his stomach. He didn't try to move the ball to keep defenders from grabbing it, he didn't try to dribble out of trouble and he didn't completely cover the ball. An LTU defender simply reached in and put two hand on the ball while Olekaibe did nothing to force the refs to call a foul.

The arrow pointed to LTU who then inbounded the ball with less than 4 second left and hit the game winner with under 1 second remaining. Crazy mistake by a good player.; January 27, 2012 at 9:46 AM

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
