Thursday's a.m. look at tonight's matchups

Four games tonight ...

* Louisiana Tech hosts Fresno State in what should be a close one.

Jerit Roser writes about Tech's homecourt troubles so far while Robert Kuwada profiles Bull~~dog~~ Jerry Brown.

* New Mexico State and Nevada go at it in Las Cruces (to ESPN: in what should be a televised game). This one will feature duels between equally talented, skilled and athletic bigs and smalls.

Jason Groves previews as does Chris Murray with his four keys/prediction piece and then Chris takes a second look. Sam Wasson also previews

* Idaho and San Jose State face off in ~~Red Square~~, make that Moscow. Which team is Putin rooting for?

Vandal Nation serves up a five minute Spartan scouting report video out of the mouths of Kyle Barone and Mansa Habeeb.

* Utah State welcomes Hawaii Spectrum-style.

Dayton Morinaga takes a multi-media look at the pairing with Kraig Williams, Tony Jones and Shawn Harrison all also checking in about a contest that should tell us much more about both teams.

student4ever said...: I find it odd that both NMSU previews mention Nevada having depth issues, when depth is one of the strengths of this year's Wolf Pack team. They don't score a whole lot because that isn't the job they have been given by the coaching staff.; January 26, 2012 at 11:18 AM

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
