Blue Zertuche/Texas Hoops (a Rivals sub is required) has a feature up that indicates Utah State interest in 6-foot-6 senior wing Quinn Taylor of Langham Creek High:

"... Quinn is a special player with a huge upside," said Ament. "He is a late bloomer that turns out to be a big time athlete. There is no telling how good he could be."

Ament says that his starting small forward is a hard worker, and that Taylor has a chance to be at a place that will allow for him to move forward in his Mormon faith ..."

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
