From the Utah State Scout site comes mention that Bryce Webster, the 6-9 240 Aggie recruit originally from Minnesota and then Irvine Valley CC in southern California, has decided he is done with basketball.
Webster wasn't going to beat out Gary Wilkinson for the starting spot but more than likely would have been Wilkinson's sub.
6-9 240 soph-to-be Modou Niang now looks like he will be the #2 big man for the Aggies. Niang was going to redshirt last season until Coach Stew Morrill became fed up with his team's power playing and inserted Niang into a game, thus burning the redshirt opportunity. He played 91 minutes -- 18 games -- in 2007-2008.
6-8 220 Matt Formisano also moves up a notch but he's more of a fill-in-the-gap-type until he proves differently. He averaged 5.2 minutes in 22 games last season. 6-6 Tai Wesley is a physical player and he may just find himself in the middle at times next season.
Until further notice, Gary Wilkinson better be prepared to stay out of foul trouble and be on the court for major, major minutes.
A couple of years down the road, Morrill will have a returned-from-his-mission Jordan Stone, a 7-footer from the Utah prep ranks.
