It poll time...the poll we've been waiting for

Our eyes have been glassing over at any in-the-last-month mention or appearance of the word poll (we tolerate football but loooove basketball -- that's just how we roll) but PTW just caught a Chris Murray column about a WAC BASKETBALL POLL, plus all-league selections, courtesy of the Sporting News. Go here and savor the coming season, one in which hoops will be far more interesting than football due to the number of teams that have a legitimate chance of winning the tourney.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
