Thursday and the WAC (or what's left of it)

Everyone has a take and yet nobody knows. Kind of like life itself.

We're already weary about the coming and the goings with more movement sure to happen so we'll leave it to Sam Wasson at his Bleed Crimson site to offer the commentary and a bevy of links.

PTW finds it quite interesting how Karl Benson went from hero to goat in less than 24 hours. This whole matter continues to demonstrate why so-called instant analysis becomes as shape-shifting as dawn to dusk and beyond.

If all proceeds, the BYU - USU basketball rivalry just kicked up about 15 notches. That's a positive.

Anonymous said...: I think the NCAA needs to take some action in this whole conference realignment thing. This is ruining college sports and they just sit back and let it happen. It takes the NCAA months to get a player cleared but a university can change conferences in a matter of hours. Makes no sense to me Kevin.; August 19, 2010 at 7:16 PM

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
