Kevin Kaspar -- UH recruiting target

In the Better-Late-Than-Never-Department, 6-foot-1 Turkish point Kevin Kaspar, currently attending Findlay Prep in Las Vegas, is being connected to Hawaii recruiting.

On November 29, ESPN's Reggie Rankin described Kaspar thusly: "...is a tough-minded player who can find open teammates and knock down shots with range to the arc on a consistent basis. Kaspar has continued to improve and is currently hearing from BYU, San Diego State, Hawaii and Illinois-Chicago."

In a second November 2010 article, Dustin Lynott wrote: "Kaspar showed flashes of hard nose defense, ball handling ability, and a solid basketball IQ."

In another about a game this season against IMG Academy, Drew Ebanks offered: "Unsigned point guard Kevin Kaspar had 6 on 2 for 2 from 3, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals."

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
