Monday's a.m. WAC basketball report

From the Eastern Washington athletics site comes this game report of San Jose State's home victory.

As Shawn Harrison notes, Nate Bendall scored 13 points and nabbed 14 rebounds in the USU win over Bakersfield -- all in 26 minutes. Plus, Utah State's 'D' handcuffed the top three Roadrunner scorers.

Utah State athletics features a video interview of backcourter Brian Green who certainly has achieved more than many coaches expected, and good for him.

Dayton Morinaga informs us that Hawaii provides its players with a pre-game meal -- some teams do pre, some do post, not sure why one is chosen over the other.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
