Wednesday's WAC basketball roundup

It is indeed a new era of New Mexico State basketball as Jason Groves writes. Who are the Aggies this season? What will be the 'personality' of the team plus who will lead?

Rob Dauster feature quotes Stew Morrill in his piece on the Mormon Church changing mission requirements and the resulting effect on recruiting.

Jason Groves is back with more on Aggie hoops.

Vandal Nation checks in on the two new additions to the WAC and the effect for Idaho athletics.

Speaking of new, who is Jarred Shaw at Utah State? The 6-foot-10 and the 235 pounds is known but is he the 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds a game that he put up as a sophomore at Oklahoma State? It may or may not be telling but he averaged 13.5 points and 9.7 rebounds as a high school senior, so take from that what you will. Defense has seemingly been his forte all along but has he developed to the point of possessing a go-to move or two inside as such would really benefit USU.
