Tuesday's hoops universe WAC-style

It's confirmed: Kerry Rupp is the new Director of Operations for Hawaii hoops. Dayton Morinaga and Brian McInnis share the news.

Not meaning any disrespect, just expressing curiosity: has a former head coach previously taken an Operations position?

This is an interesting move and hopefully the media in the islands will be able to talk with Coach Rupp to find out the 'why' behind the move.

For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
