Wow wow wow wow wow

Louisiana Tech takes down Nevada 78-75 in Reno. That's definitely one for the "we didn't see that coming" category.

The Pack loses on a night Luke Babbitt shoots 9-11 from the floor and Armon Johnson scores 27 points on 9-16 shooting.

But Brandon Fields goes 2-15 overall, begging the question why was he taking the second most number of shots tonight? Plus, was it drawn up for him to take the next-to-last Wolf Pack shot or were Babbitt and.or Johnson covered?

LT shot 30-50 from the floor.

Nevada led 37-31 at the half.

Utah State took down New Mexico State 78-59 in Logan -- this after we had an inkling that the Las Cruces Aggies were really going to give the Logan-ites a game and just might steal a win despite the game taking place in the Vatican equivalent of the WAC -- The Spectrum. To elaborate further on the latter, bow down and ask for forgiveness when entering the Holy S.

NMSU got very little production from its bench, Jahmar Young shot 6-15 and Wendell McKines 3-12. On the plus side, Jonathan Gibson nailed six for eight, including one trey in his sole attempt.

USU received a truly team effort. Stew Morrill's squad led 35-31 at the half but outscored NMSU 43-27 in the second 20 minutes.

+++++

ESPN is reporting Hawaii is leading Fresno State 34-10 at the half in Honolulu and we double-checked -- it is not a leftover football score.
