Some scouts tweet about Luke Babbitt

The Draft Express site folks were tweeting about Luke Babbitt last night:

Luke Babbitt gives up the game-winning shot, not having the length/awareness to contest pull-up right in his face. Terrible D. Nevada loses.

Offensively Babbitt is a 3 all the way RT @philysstar: Do you think he can play the 3 in the pro level or is he gonna be an undersized 4??

Not sure Luke Babbitt has the lateral quickness to guard the perimeter in the NBA, which will surely make him a target to isolate against.

On downside, Luke Babbitt really struggled defensively, putting in little effort & being scored on repeatedly. Needs to be a SF at that size

Luke Babbitt is absolutely shredding apart New Mexico State's paper machete defense w/his pull-up jumper. Has 18 pts in 1st half. 42-40 NMSt

Obviously, it is papier-mâché that was intended but paper machete sure conjures up an image!

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
