Where did we go wrong?

We're taking a look in the mirror here, offering up multiple meas culpas about what we thought would happen this season in the WAC ... but didn't, plus what we didn't envision.

BOISE STATE

PTW envisioned Kurt Cunningham making a push for greater recognition this season. He did shoot .545% in league play but averaged just 6.3 points per game and each of his various numbers dipped in WAC action.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was La'Shard Anderson stealing hubcaps off moving cars (Al McGuire?) -- 3 a game!! (the WAC leader).

FRESNO STATE

PTW envisioned Paul George enjoying a break-out sophomore season and, while he made some progress, he shot just .382 overall in league.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was Steve Shepp putting together a nice 67/29 assist-to-turnover ratio.

HAWAII

PTW envisioned a competitive squad -- not a team winning just 10 of 21 home games.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was Brandon Adams putting up 10.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per WAC contest.

IDAHO

PTW envisioned Mac Hopson as a WAC Player of the Year candidate -- never an Honorable Mention selection.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was the consistency Marvin Jefferson displayed on defense plus solid point production.

LOUISIANA TECH

PTW envisioned a breakout year for Kyle Gibson -- not a .358 shooting percentage.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was a 22-9 overall record.

NEVADA

PTW envisioned more offensive production than Mario Hunt's 6.1 points per game average

What PTW didn't forsee happening was Ray Kraemer's 27-63 three-point shooting.

NEW MEXICO STATE

PTW envisioned greater team consistency on behalf of the Aggies.

What PTW didn't forsee happening was Hamidu Rahman's 9.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.

SAN JOSE STATE

PTW envisioned a tighter defense, not a .471 field goal percentage team number.

What PTW didn't forsee was the topnotch three-point shooting (.408%) as a squad.

UTAH STATE

PTW envisioned a..............we need more time to find a minus.

What PTW didn't forsee was Pooh Williams and Tyler Newhold both making life downright miserable for opposing shooters.
