Hawaii receives good news

Was it the lure of the Gib or the lure of the islands, both, or more?

Southern California frontcourter Ronnie Stevens has announced he will be sigining a letter-of-intent with Hawaii.

Stevens has made the curious decision to sign in April but bases it on a very admirable principle. Take it to the bank that some teams will continue running at him.

Also, it appears that newcomer Anthony Salter is out for at least a couple of weeks.

For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
