Jeff Goodman on the WAC assistant coaches

Here's Jeff Goodman, continuing his rundown on D-1 assistant coaches, with his WAC findings:

"We’re running through the top assistants in each league and now it’s time to look at the top assistants in WAC – as voted upon by at least 75 percent of the coaches in the league:

Here is the WAC:

1) Tim Duryea, Utah State – Entering his 10th season at Utah State, Duryea was also the head coach at Hutchinson Community College for two seasons. He graduated from North Texas and started his coaching career at Colorado State before going back to North Texas in 1993.

``Tim understands every aspect of being an assistant coach. He’s extremely valuable to me; he can schedule, recruit and is experienced. He does it all. There’s nothing like experience. He’s not a young guy that’s wet behind the ears.” – Utah State Stew Morrill

2) Doug Novsek, Nevada

3) Mick Durham, New Mexico State

4) Ray Lopes, Idaho

5) Jeff Reinert, Fresno State
