Tuesday morning's WAC hoops digest

What did Stew Morrill ever do to deserve what his Aggies have encountered this season? With Brady Jardine now waylaid for possibly the season, now Morgan Grim is ill, all per Tony Jones.

The Aggies host Utah Valley tonight. Kraig Williams, Shawn Harrison and the Tony Jones link above all cover the pre-game territory.

Jason Groves takes on the "If Only Remi Barry Fan Club" as the young man who is probably still applying Rustoleum in getting ready for his debut doesn't need this pressure. Why not go with Coach Marvin Menzies' judgment on this? After all, he's paid to win games (or else) and would surely use someone he deemed ready and able to contribute.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
