Wednesday's world of WAC hoops

Nevada had a tougher time than expected but downed visiting Nebraska Omaha 81-69 behind a team effort led by twin double-doubles from Olek Czyz (18/10) and Dario Hunt (14/10) and 20 points from Malik Story.

Tonight, it's Fresno State welcoming 12-8 Cal State University San Marcos, a team that features none other than former Bulldog Tim Steed. He is averaging a team-leading 15.4 points per game on 48% overall shooting, 35% from three point range. Steed is also grabbing 5.1 rebounds a contest along with nabbing 43 steals, tops on the squad. CSUSM Coach Jim Saia also returns, he having run the program at Fresno Pacific prior to moving over to San Diego County.
