Get yourself ready 'cause the games are happening

Nobody can accuse the WAC of sandbagging in the opening sets of games as most of the openers or second games speak for themselves:

Sam Wasson/BleedCrimson.net has an interview with Marvin Menzies, who talks quite a bit about St. Mary's, tonight's opponent, here. The game is in the very bucolic town of Moraga -- as St. Mary's Associate Head Coach Kyle Smith once told us: "We have no trouble recruiting the 40 and 50 years olds (the parents) -- but actually played in McKeon Pavilion and in front of the very rowdy Gael fans.

Jason Groves/Las Cruces Sun-News also has a piece on tonight's matchup plus a blog entry.

An Aggie win will make national noise even without Patty Mills suiting up for Randy Bennett because the Gaels are the darlings of many and have rightly garnered some very good press.

Similarly, Idaho heads to Salt Lake City (where is the world is Travis Mason-Bushman? You guessed it and he's already posting) to battle Utah of that despicable Mountain West Conference. A win against the Utes would also bring some nice love to the WAC and especially the Vandals.

Utah State tangles with in-state rival Weber State, as Stew Morrill will be matching wits with former assistant Randy Rahe. Andrew Aragon/Deseret News has a preview. Shaw Harrison/Herald-Journal does the same. Weber will be good again this season and the game is in Ogden.

Hawaii hosts Southern Utah tonight with Dayton Morinaga/Honolulu Advertiser providing the details. Brian McInnis/Star Bulletin has a nice portrait of Hawaii Associate Head Coach Jackson Wheeler, again letting us know that coaches are flesh-and-blood and experience ups-and-downs just like us.

Greg Graham must really like Willie Nelson, particularly "On The Road Again" as Nick Jezierny explains in his latest.

Chris Murray features Nevada point London Giles with his latest Wolf Pack profile.

That's it so far.
