The WAC wins tonight

It doesn't take a weatherman to know which way the WAC fortunes went tonight: undefeated despite three road games.

Idaho 94, Utah 87

SALT LAKE CITY -- Mac Hopson scored eight of his 16 points in the last six minutes as Idaho beat Utah 94-87 on Friday, bringing the team its first win against the school in 71 years...

...Steffan Johnson scored 19 points and Jeff Ledbetter added 16 as the Vandals...
Hopson tallied an unusual two assists to six turnovers. The Vandals shot 10-21 from three-point range and made 31 of 63 shot attempts overall. Don Verlin's team also out-rebounded the bigger Utes 40-34.

How did Nate Bendall, Gary Wilkinson's replacement do? In 22 minutes, he tallied 13 points (5-6), nabbed five boards -- all defensively -- but fouled out. Tai Wesley also departed with five fouls after putting up five rebounds and four points. The Aggies surprisingly chalked up but only five assists on the night with Jared Quayle leading with three. Quayle also led USU with eight boards.
