San Jose State faces Washington a little later in Seattle and Hawaii hosts BYU a while after that but it's good to report that Louisiana Tech beat Miami (Ohio) 74-62 tonight (Friday).
Kyle Gibson couldn't be controlled, let alone contained, and finished with 27 points on 6-12 overall shooting, 12-12 at the foul line and 3-6 from long distance. He also grabbed eight rebounds.
Jamal Guyton added 15, with Olu Ashaolu contributing a double-double of 14 and 13 and DeAndre Brown had 10 points. Ashaolu's rebounds were divided up six offensive and seven defensive.
Magnum Rolle produced six points and five boards in 26 minutes -- we have no idea how Miami defensed him (double-teamed? packing the key? single defender?)
Miami is now 0-3, having lost to Towson (82-71), Kentucky (72-70) and Louisiana Tech -- all on the road although the LT contest was in Albuquerque as part of a tournament.
