Melvin Grussing, an Antelope Valley College (Lancaster, CA) basketball aficionado who maintains the best fan site on the net dealing with a community college hoops program, is back with more enticing news.
Melvin reported earlier that former New Mexico State backcourter De’Shaun Gomez is now at AVC.
He also noted that 6-foot-8 George McGrew has his academics in order and is set to play in the upcoming season.
Now, 6-foot-5 prepster Shelton Boykin, who signed with Long Beach State as a steal for the 49ers, has also become a Marauder.
Each and every WAC team (plus a host of others) would love to have a McGrew signed a letter-of-intent. Nevada certainly had interest earlier before it was learned that McGrew needed to take last season off and focus on his academics.
Gomez should have the chance to getting back to D-1 after a single season in Palmdale. Boykin will have to earn his AA first.

Way to keep your eye on the ball Melvin. Besides basketball, the Antelope Valley also has a great wrestling program too.
