McLaughlin sticking with Nevada for 2009-2010

We communicated with someone informed about Mark McLaughlin and his decision to attend prep school rather than wait and see if the NCAA would grant him freshman eligibility at Nevada this season and there is no current thinking of McLaughlin being anywhere but Nevada in 2009-2010.

You can take it to the bank that McLaughlin will be contacted by other schools but his commitment to the Wolf Pack is solid.

We will follow up with a further post if we come across anything different.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
