The Shreveport Times features Magnum Rolle

It's good to see one of our under-appreciated kids on our so-called list getting some print/pixels from a local newspaper. This is one fine article, kudos to Jimmy Watson.

It was a fine spring day on the Louisiana Tech campus. Too fine, in fact, to be screwing up your head with rational numbers, coefficients and quadratic equations.

Just ask Magnum Rolle, who was sitting in his algebra class with his head spinning. He heard what the professor was saying, but it wasn't sinking in. Rolle was lost from the first minute he walked into the classroom in George T. Madison Hall.

The 6-foot-11 Rolle was required to take the class and make a passing grade if he wanted to take the court for the Bulldogs basketball team this fall. But after just a couple of lessons, the LSU transfer knew passing wasn't happening.

So, Rolle went to see men's basketball coach Kerry Rupp...
