A Justin Standley update

For the sake of clarification, we just received a note from 6-foot-2 guard Justin Standley (McClymonds High - Oakland, CA) stating that he is on scholarship for the coming school year at New Mexico State University.

We contacted him because it made no financial sense to us that he would be walking on at an out-of-state university. The cost of doing so would be exorbitant. Walking on at a college in California would be pricey enough.

By the way, Marvin Menzies is getting a fine young man. Justin is thoughtful and well-spoken, the ultimate team player and is a great addition to NMSU basketball.

WOW

Some kinds words for an NMSU basketball player?!

You've gone soft McCarthy.

If you can't report something negative about NMSU, why report anything at all?

Please resume the Nevada luv fest

Mr. Chilero, you left out that I am a card-carrying member of the pizza deliverers union in Las Cruces.

Thanks to Paul Simon for this:

"A man walks down the street
He says why am I soft in the middle now
Why am I soft in the middle
The rest of my life is so hard
I need a photo-opportunity
I want a shot at redemption..."
