Hair

We first thought of this song title "Almost Cut My Hair" (Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) but then this stanza from another song floated into our brain:

"...I want long, straight, curly, fuzzy, snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty, oily, greasy, fleecy, shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen, knotted, polka dotted, twisted, beaded, braided, powered, flowered and confettied, bangled, tangled, spangled and spahettied..."

The context for this post?

From the Utah men's basketball site, comes this photo (above) of Jeff Ledbetter driving against Luka Drca. Forget Justin Graham (now sporting a buzzcut) and Luke Babbitt (with bangs) -- it's now Luciano de Souza's 'fro and Ledbetter's Keanu Reeves locks ("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure") in mortal intra-team combat for best hair in the WAC.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
