LA Tech wins, the other games are still in progress

Louisiana Tech got past visiting Nevada 77-71 in a match that could have gone either way..

The Bulldogs led 34-31 at the half. At that point, the Wolf Pack had 10 turnovers and Magnum Rolle played just six minutes due to early foul trouble.

New Mexico State was down early but is leading visiting Utah State at halftime 27-24 -- that's not a lot of points for these two teams. Is it poor offensive efficiency, bad shooting or a combination?

Boise State is ahead 61-55 with five minutes remaining in Fresno.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
