At the Stew Morrill MB of the USUFans site, aggies1 has started a thread about former Aggie recruit Norvell Arnold possibly heading to the islands. Gib Arnold has at least one schollie to offer but there is that extra baggage that comes with it, if this is accurate.

- 02/25/2009: Nevada paper rates WAC players: "Once again I must give credit where it is due – I pulled these articles off of Parsing the WAC,...an almost daily updated blog run by Kevin McCarthy. It is the authority on all things WAC men’s basketball. If there is a feature or game story put out about one of the schools in the league he will have a link to it (and a corresponding editorial comment). It is one of the first places I go on the Internet each day. We are very lucky to have a fan in this a midmajor league willing to put the time and energy in bring all this great information to all of us. Thanks Kevin."

- 11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."

Do you know if he enrolled at Utah State last year?

To the best of my knowledge, Arnold never actually enrolled. He had some academic work to complete before earning his D-1 eligibility and apparently was doing that at the junior college he played for.
