Idaho got the win and the Wolf Pack got the finger -- how's that for a pithy summary?
Chris Murray offers this game report and a blog entry. Hats off to the Reno Gazette-Journal management for sending Chris to Moscow to cover the matchup.
Josh Wright is here and here.
After viewing the game, here are some PTW thoughts:
Derrell Conner is probably issuing apologies all-around ... Deonte Burton is and always will be a hybrid backcourter and there's nothing wrong with that -- consider it a plus ... Burton's accuracy impressed us -- at least last night ... Kyle Barone has the length, just not the strength -- get thee some calorie supplements and also work on going with your left hand ... Deremy Geiger is a volume shooter but his quick release is absolutely needed in the Vandal backcourt ... Jeff Ledbetter is more selective -- by necessity -- and, as a defender, you want him to dribble at least once before he releases his jumper, not catch-and-shoot ... Ledbetter was the MVP last night ... Olek Czyz needs to incorporate some dribble-drive and mid-range shooting into his game -- it certainly appears he can hit from distance (but with a bit more discretion, please) and nobody hops quicker, especially on second and third attempts on the boards ... there were times last night where Czyz got in multiple touches of the ball in rebounding situations before others left the ground once ... Nevada is just too inexperienced to be consistent this season but the potential is certainly evident
