More Friday items, including a recruit commit

Here is a game report for College of Southern Idaho featuring another photo of Mr. Buckner. who measures 6-foot-9, 245.The height might be a tad generous.

His stats to date: 17 games/16 starts ... 23.4 minutes per game ... 12.2 points per game ... shooting 55% on 166 attempts, has taken and missed his only trey attempt ... shooting 49% on 49 free throw attempts ... a team-leading 8.9 rebounds a game, looks like a solid offensive boarder ... eight assists, 22 TOs ... 19 blocks

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
