5-foot-11 guard Keith Shamburger has made his decision and will next be a Hawaii Rainbow Warrior.
The sophomore transfer from San Jose State University will have to sit out a year as a redshirt and then resume play in the 2013-2014 season.
One factor facilitating this move is Hawaii's jump to the Big West Conference in basketball. This means the southern California native will be facing mainland opponents such as Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, UC Irvine, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara.
Also, transferring to an in-conference often means having to sit out two years but UH's new affiliation made this moot, if it ever was in play.
Two years ago, Hawaii Coach Gib Arnold recruited Shamburger out of Serra High but the decision was made to go with SJSU.

Is there room for any more nails in George Nessman's coffin?
The only thing that's gonna get rid of George Nessman is a silver bullet.
