Sunday morning's WAC hoops liturgy

From Westwind Prep Coach Adam DeSautels: "Just saw that Brophy's Tim Kempton got offered by Idaho today. Nice choice by UI. He was tough 1st time we played, 2nd time, we were ready"

He's a 6-foot-8, 210 2013 recruit whose (we think) father played ball at Notre Dame and in the NBA.

Here's a bit of a mid 2011 evaluation:
Strengths:

Kempton is a terrific spot-up shooter who can knock down shots within 17-feet all over the court. His release is high and he possesses a soft touch. In addition, he has become much stronger in the upper body since the spring.

Per sjball at the Inside Sparta Basketball MB, Alex Brown of John Logan College in Illinois was San Jose State University trippin' this weekend. He's 6-foot-10 and 190 pounds, averaged 10.6 points and 6.8 boards last season while shooting 45% from the floor and 45% at the foul line. He swatted away 2.4 shots a contest.

In June 2010 MidStateHoops described him thusly: "Though raw and athletic the former SIU-Edwardsville signee could find himself playing at a much higher level when his years as a Volunteer are over if he puts the work in.  He’s got a long frame and is a solid shot blocker and rebounder. He will have time to develop a more diverse offensive repertoire under the current JAL coaching staff"
