Boise wins another one

We're still not convinced that BSU will be a player in the WAC this season but the Broncos keep on winning. What's the most interesting aspect in the following article is the introduction that this season's team may be 'better than last year' -- we'll be more than happy to be proven wrong but we're not buying that premise, at least not yet. Let's see what happens against BYU in Provo on the 10th.

Boise State basketball coach Greg Graham returned one starter from last year's WAC championship team, leading to many questions about this year's squad.

So far, the Broncos are answering those questions.

Boise State beat Colorado State 85-76 on Saturday night in front of 3,810 fans at Taco Bell Arena for its fifth win in a row. The Broncos (6-1) are off to their best start since 2003, when they started 8-1.

Not many saw this coming - the Broncos were picked to finish fifth by WAC coaches and media and now have the best record in the conference.

"Coming into this season, we didn't know how we'd play together because we were all newcomers, basically," junior Ike Okoye said. "We just came into this season ready to take anything on. It's been a pretty good start for us."

Saturday's win showed what makes this year's team potentially more dangerous than last year's squad that won a school- record 25 games...

Go here for the remainder.
