A Greg Allen game article

Greg Allen decided to forego signing with Idaho in the November letter-of-intent period so he's back to being a free agent. He's also back to scoring points. As for the just-completed football season, Allen was named the most valuable offensive player of his league. He was a wide receiver.

ARCATA -- Eureka knocked down 12 treys -- some from NBA range -- during the first three periods en route to a 71-55 win over McKinleyville in a second-round game at the 41st annual Jerry Paul Arcata Invitational basketball tournament on Friday...

...Greg Allen had a game-high 21 points (five treys) for Eureka, in spite of spending long blocks of time on the bench due to foul trouble and a cramped calf muscle...

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
